Words Within Dying Embers Tell
what strange flame tended so well,
it doesn’t extinguish
smoke dances in anguish
words within dying embers tell
_____________
a candle flame still casting light
where shadows rush
haunting silence’s hush
sacred lonely fire: a beacon bright
_____________
our fearful words no longer matter
twin white doves released
hatred’s illusion ceased
ego’s hourglass will shatter
_____________
my journey back from the darkness
petite mort so soul breathes
plucking off dead leaves
nurture growing light amidst starkness
_____________
what strange flame tended so well,
it doesn’t extinguish
smoke dances in anguish
words within dying embers tell

Wow!
Thank you! This one just flowed out of me onto the page.
I’m not sure how you do it. I have tried my hand at poetry so many times and have failed miserably. I love poetry and look forward to reading more of yours. All the best to you and thanks for sharing your good with the world.
Poetry is a funny thing. You can learn the technical aspects of poetry writing and not be very good at conveying feeling in your words. It can also go the other way around. It’s a great compliment when a reader says that he or she wishes to read more of my work. Eventually I would like to have it published in an anthology. Thank you for your well wishes and the encouragement to keep writing. They mean a great deal to me.
It is a funny thing…especially if you don’t know even the technical stuff…LOL…something very odd generally comes out. Glad there are people like you who get it and share it with people.
very beautiful!
Thank you Linda for your comment.
Speechless!
Thank you…that is a great compliment to me.

I just want others to see this!
Thank you for enjoying my work. Yes, you may post it to your new page. It gives others a chance to read what I write which is always a positive thing. Thank you for sharing this poem with others.
