A Good Man

A Good Man

Two calloused hands

Scarred by careful work

4:30 am alarm chime

Quiet soul of steel, like metal you meld

Brave enough

To return to college.

Follow a simple dream: to earn what is your due

In the dark you are patient and kind

Loving- as you pull her to you:

What heart to have and to hold

Restoring a stolen faith…

There can be,

A good man.
