Heart Seeker

Heart Seeker

I wander out in the low hanging fog

it swirls across the harbour

flashlight casting beams along rocky crags

sole comfort in the darkness

I seek one who shares my heartbeat

world outside is so cold

please come home

so you can rest your tired bones

You know the way home

and the candle burning in the window

won’t extinguish even with my last breath

soul o’ mine tends the fires within

hot water for tea is waiting for you

a soft place with a cozy blanket

rest yourself here and come home

I would love to hear your tales, heart seeker
