Fine

Don’t look at me with your kind eyes,
Let me keep it buried inside,
You really don’t want to know,
Most fear the truth…
So we all smile anyway,
Hiding the shameful pain,
When someone cares you run away,
Will grief’s weight be too much?
Brave hearts keep their secrets,
Until the mirror shatters,
“Fine” catches in the throat.
